Now, a little science lesson to give you some background:

CBN or cannabinol is one of the other 113 compounds found in the hemp plant. CBN has been touted for many things, but its primary function, is sleep! Essential Oils have both relaxing + soothing properties and can be incorporated into any kind of wellness routine. In fact, you’ll find them in several moments throughout your salon experience with us. That soothing scalp massage at the shampoo bowl? Yep, lavender essential oil helps complete that experience.

Believe it or not, there are three ways to use essential oils:

1. Through smell. We call this “aromatic” use of essential oils. This includes any application method that helps you experience the aroma of the oil. You can use essential oils aromatically by:

• Diffusing in an essential oil diffuser
• Applying a drop to your hands and inhaling
• Wearing as a personal fragrance

On your skin. “Topical” application of essential oils allows the oil to absorb into the skin. Some ways to use essential oils on your skin are:

• Massage
• Apply to targeted areas and rub in
• Add to lotions or moisturizers

Ingesting, or “internal” use of essential oils allows the oil to be transported throughout your body. Make sure the essential oil is safe for internal use first, and then try one of these methods:

• Add to a glass of water
• Take in a veggie capsule
• Put a drop under your tongue

HIGHLIGHTED SERVICES:

NEW: cbd + crystal manis + pedis at PENZONE

Last fall, we introduced Mazz Hanna high vibration luxury nail products to our salon’s shelves. Earlier this spring, our entire team of nail artists were trained by Mazz herself, on how to create magical nail services, using her CBD + crystal elixirs in every single step.

For those unsure, here’s a peek inside this incredible experience:

During a soak in bath fizz, a fine arctic mineral salt, you’ll breathe in lavender and frankincense aromatherapy as relaxation washes over you. A pure blend of therapeutic-grade essential oils and 100mg of CBD is applied to the neck, and the slight tingling sensation will help melt away stress. Clarity mist, an organic lavender flower water, is spritzed into the air, offering healing + anti-inflammatory benefits. After an exfoliating scrub, the nails + cuticles will be impeccably manicured.

Then, more magic happens. A warmed rose quartz stone will be used to massage the arms or feet/calves with a body melt infused with a soothing combination of shea butter and essential oils specifically bended for maximum relaxation and rejuvenation. A spritz of magic mist containing willow bark extract will work synergistically to reduce inflammation while a blend of essential oils offer a deep dose of aromatherapy to leave you calm and relaxed – all while being wrapped in warm towels. The service is finished off with the polish of your choice, and an application of cuticle oil containing a nourishing blend of organic jojoba and hempseed oils and Vitamin E to promote optimal nail health and growth.

Ayurveda Massage

An abundant amount of warm oil is gently massaged into your skin using long, fluent strokes. Combined with a calming scalp and facial massage, the nervous system is calmed, circulation is increased, tissues are nourished by the absorption of oil, and the body and mind will be left in a deep state of relaxation and balance.

Shirodhara Treatment

**Shirodhara services were temporarily discontinued due to COVID but will be added to our menu, once again, very soon!**

Feel renewed and restored as your service begins with a scalp massage the promotes balance from within. As warm oil gently flows over your forehead and hair, your nervous system will be calmed, lowering your stress and anxiety, easing headaches and promoting more restful sleep. Complimentary, take-home oil is included in this experience.

Ayurveda Massage Experience

This experience combines our Ayurveda Abhyanga Massage and Shirodhara Treatment for an hour of balance and bliss. The experience begins with a massage where an abundant amount of oil is gently massaged into your skin using long, fluent strokes to balance your dosha. A warm oil drip, an abbreviated version of our Shirodhara Treatment, completes this experience.
