We’re so excited to launch the new PENZONE experience in our Gahanna/New Albany salon + spa. If you’ve stopped by PENZONE Dublin or Short North, you’re probably looped in (and in love with) our new amenities. If you haven’t made it over yet, I wanted to share a few of my favorite aspects of the new concept that will be coming to Gahanna in mid/late April.
COMMUNITY SPACE IN OUR SOCIAL ROOM
If there’s one thing you need to know about our new concept, it’s that we’ve worked hard to provide a space for community. Our Social Room is the perfect place for this! Here, you can relax, socialize, work, and just be. Beyond normal appointments, expect to see Beauty Labs and Evenings of Enlightenment where we’ll utilize this space to share, teach and learn.
Speaking of, be sure to SAVE THE DATE for our Summer Trends Event on Thursday, May 9th at PENZONE Gahanna! We’ll launch our new Social Room amenities, will preview our food offerings, will present the trends we’re seeing for Summer ’19 and will have popup shops from several local boutiques. More to come. Keep an eye on your email and our social channels to make sure you snag your spot!

SIPS + SNACKS
Sips and snacks are among some of our favorite new offerings in our new concept. This element of our design has lent itself to the community we aim to build. Like in PENZONE Dublin + Short North, you’ll be able to grab a specialty coffee drink (we suggest the PENZONE mocha), a glass or wine, or even a clean cold-pressed juice cocktail! We’ve partnered with local coffee roaster Crimson Cup and plant-based food provider, & Juice Co., to bring these offerings to you. Our favorite part is that you can enjoy this space before or after your visit – or anytime really! Swing by and grab a coffee or lunch! Maybe you’ll be able to squeeze in a quick mani, too. That’s what we call multitasking.
Offering these options is important to us because we firmly believe that what you put in your body is just as important as the care you take on the exterior. You’ll notice that we’ve said “see ya” to soda in all our new concepts. Instead, in our FREE SIPS area, we’re encouraging everyone to RETHINK THEIR DRINK. We’ve partnered with The American Heart Association to help us all sip smarter. We’re working to bring awareness to those extra calories hidden in sodas and other beverages to live healthier. Instead of soda, guests can enjoy infused spa water, hot tea or freshly brewed Crimson Cup coffee (our local fave!) And did we mention it’s free!? Just another perk of PENZONE. Lookout for our amazing offers on Mondays and Wednesdays. For a little extra pep, enjoy “Motivation Monday” — $1 off all speciality coffee drinks. We’re also coining Wednesday “Wine Wednesday.” All day long, enjoy $2 off a glass of wine! This includes the sparkling wine in our morning mimosas!
Our makeup area on the 3rd floor will transform into the Beauty Zone – a place for fast, results-oriented skincare services.
BEAUTY ZONE
We introduced the Beauty Zone in PENZONE Dublin last summer and followed up with our second installation in the Short North in December of last year. The Beauty Zone is all about fast, results-oriented skincare services in an open environment. Our Beauty Zone will be located in the beautiful open space on the 3rd floor.
Short on time but still serious about your skincare? The Beauty Zone is perfect for you. We offer facial waxing services, brow and lash tinting services, bar masks and bar facials. And the bar facial that we speak of us only $48 – a total steal to keep your skincare routine on track. Click here for a full lineup of our Beauty Bar services.
Booking is easy, too. Online, just select “Skin + Massage” and then “Beauty Bar.” Our full offering of Masks, Facials, Peels, Threading, Tints + Waxings will be available. On the App, find the “Skin” category, select “Beauty Bar” and find the service you want to book in the drop down. Voila!
Refreshed retail will feature BOHINDI, PENZONE branded march + awesome impulse buys.
REFRESHED RETAIL + NEW BOUTIQUE
I’m so excited that both our retail merchandising AND our retail assortment will be relaunched in this process! Our shelves will still be stocked with the best in beauty from hair, skincare, makeup and nails, but it’ll be much more shoppable.
Best yet, we’re pulling in those unique, giftable items that have been so popular at PENZONE Dublin and Short North. Need a great gift item for a girlfriend, hostess or maybe even your babysitter? Soon you’ll be able to get.it.done at PENZONE Gahanna. Some of my absolute favorite items to gift are:
- Intentional jewelry (think bracelets, necklaces and even earrings) from Upper Arlington-based BOHINDI.
- Lapcos Skin Masks master the minimalist approach to luxury skincare. These single use sheet masks treat your skin to a full range of rejuvenating benefits – perfect for a little self-care, even during the work week.
- PENZONE Merch – our Spring//Summer 2019 collection of PENZONE gear will launch during Gahanna’s floor reset! This collection is packet with lightweight and comfortable items you can rock all summer long while repping your favorite salon + spa brand! 🙂
- Impulse Buys – get sucked in time and time again with the constantly rotating assortment of mega must-haves. Grab travel sized shampoo and conditioner for an upcoming trip or simply get clued in on the latest in our industry. I currently can’t live without the Dionis Vanilla Lip Balm + Hand Cream. Both are infused with goat milk, coconut oil and antioxidant Vitamin E to sooth and smooth.

MINDFUL MOMENTS
We’ve already introduced many opportunities for you to enjoy a few moments of mindfulness during your salon or spa visit. You may have experienced relaxation and balance with our Ayurveda Massage Services launched last May.
Now, Gahanna’s Shampoo Game is getting even stronger with even more mindfulness packed into the experience. Our entire hair team at Gahanna is getting trained on massage techniques to incorporate into the shampoo and conditioning steps. It’s an extra scalp massage that is topped off with a complimentary hand massage complete with a lavender-infused towel. Speaking from experience, you will melt into that shampoo chair and will soak in these extra moments of self-care!
Launching the new “US” at PENZONE Gahanna is going to be a quick flip. If you’ve visited in the last month, you’ve already noticed that our signage on the exterior reflects our new PENZONE branding. The new elements in our interior will be up to speed by mid/late April.
