Want to keep those nails trendy over the chilly winter months but don’t know what to do? Check out our roundup of chic nail looks for winter 2016.
ACCENT NAIL FOR STARTERS
2015 was definitely the year of nail art and 2016 shows no signs of slowing down. If you’re new to nail art, but your curiosity is piqued, I suggest starting off small with an accent nail. What started with only ring fingers has changed to literally any nail or multiple nails of your choosing. Some guests pick the index finger while others just add a different hue or glitter to the pinkie nail. What’s best about this trend is that it’s all about you – how you like it, just the way you like it! And, it’s fun!
(All that glitters is gold. Modern spin on a French mani with an index finger accent nail.)
A simple, yet modern look for the minimalist girls out there is simple nail art. Think straight lines and/ or dots. This look is easy to achieve for even the novice artist but makes a very strong and fashion forward statement.

(Black and white geometric line nail art.)
ELONGATE AND ACCENTUATE
Not for the weak of heart, and the most fashion extreme, are the stiletto and coffin nail trends. These looks have been seen on celebs from the Kardashians to Rhianna. Most the style mavens have embraced this trend. The trick to achieve this look is to wear sculptured acrylic nails. The unique shape of both looks can set any girl apart.

My suggestion to help you choose – just be you! In the end, they’re YOUR nails and they should be an extension (literally – or not) of your personal style. Choose something you like but don’t be afraid to take a chance now and then. You never know what you like until you try it!
